As part of a project at Fontys Engineering, I designed and build a proof-of-concept bulk dispensing machine aimed at reducing single-use plastic packaging in supermarkets.
The system uses volumetric filling to dispense dry goods, such as rice, with reasonable accuracy. I did the design, material selection, and prototyping of the mechanism, including testing and coding the motor control. The final prototype successfully demonstrated automated and hygienic dispensing, highlighting both the technical and sustainability goals of the project
